Choosing an airport transfer

Choosing an airport transfer

You can choose between a taxi, rideshare, public transit or a prearranged shuttle, depending on the pickup arrangement and service you need.

For a direct pickup at the airport, taxis and rideshares have designated areas in the parking garage. Shuttle services have separate pickup instructions, and public transit requires you to reach the bus stops or Link station from the terminal.

SEA says arrival drives are often congested from 8 p.m. to midnight, while departure drives are often congested from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m.

Allow extra time if your trip overlaps with those busy periods. For current service and pickup information, check the official site before you go.

At SEA, King County Metro bus stops are on International Boulevard and South 176th Street, beside the SeaTac/Airport Link light rail station. The airport’s ground-transportation map identifies Link light rail, public-transit bus stops, Sound Transit bus routes 560 and 574, and the train-to-plane shuttle.

From the terminal, follow the walkway at the north end of the airport parking garage’s fourth floor to the Link station, then cross the pedestrian bridge to International Boulevard. The bridge is open 24 hours a day; use the elevator or stairs on the station’s west side to reach the boulevard.

Northgate is about a 24-minute walk or a 4-minute drive from the Crown Inn. The guide to using Northgate Station from North Seattle can help you plan around that station once you are in the area.
